Dr. Anagnostopoulos is a tenured associate professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and leads the Machine Learning Research Group at Florida Tech. He is also a co-director of Florida Tech's Center for Advanced Data Analytics & Systems (CADAS). Research
Dr. Anagnostopoulos past research consisted mainly of work on kernel methods, multi-task learning, racing algorithms, hash & metric learning, stochastic optimization and evolutionary computation. More recently his group has been focusing on temporal point processes and their applications to information spread over social networks, as well as on deep learning applications in the Earth Sciences.
